Meet John Fox

I opened my first jewellery shop in 1976 and spent the next forty years helping customers choose jewellery for some of the most important moments in their lives.

Over the years I owned jewellery shops in Guildford, Farnham and Winchester, and had the privilege of serving generations of customers. Many returned time and again for engagement rings, wedding rings, anniversary gifts and commissions to mark special occasions.

Although my last shop closed in 2016, my passion for jewellery never disappeared. John R. Fox Jewellery is the next chapter — bringing together a lifetime of experience with the convenience of an online business.

Every design on this website has been personally selected or refined by me. I have always believed that jewellery should be elegant, wearable and timeless. Trends come and go, but well-designed jewellery can be enjoyed and treasured for generations.

Many of my customers over the years came not only to buy jewellery but also to discuss ideas. I continue to enjoy helping clients create something unique, whether that means adapting an existing design or developing a completely bespoke piece. Away from jewellery, I enjoy riding my Harley-Davidson, keeping bees and spending time with family and friends. These interests may seem far removed from jewellery, but they share the same qualities I value most — patience, craftsmanship and attention to detail.
